Sol Bean Juice Bar & Kitchen is a quick service restaurant, cafe, and juice bar that believes food is fuel for happy and healthy bodies and minds. When we eat well, we feel well and we can best let our “sol shine” both at home and in our community.
Sol Bean is proud to be an active member of our community.
Whether it is attending a health fair, speaking at a local school, serving lunches for teacher appreciation, or delivering meals to our health care heroes, part of our mission is to continually give back to our community.
We are proud to partner with the Middleton Stream Team as a business sponsor.
About the Middleton Stream Team
The Middleton Stream Team is our volunteer group of local environmental stewards. They work to educate and protect our local river, streams, animals and natural environment.
They lead guided tours of our river and walking trails, host Middleton’s annual Earth Day Festival and offer scholarships for students seeking to pursue environmental studies.
Get outside in the beautiful nature of our community and join the Stream Team Today.
About Tri Town Youth Council
Sol Bean is proud to support the efforts of the Tri Town Youth Council, our local agency that seeks to build youth assets, grow positive norms and support youth and families across a range of programs and services.
The Middleton Mural is our love poem to our community, featuring some of our favorite places in town with an emphasis on our natural surroundings.
The mural illustrates just how connected we all are.
Sol Bean partnered with Deb Fedele Folsom and the students of Art’s Cool Middleton to create the “Middleton Mural” as a statement of love of our community.
At the heart of Sol Bean is our love for community and our natural environment. Just like a river, Sol Bean has been created by and for the community we serve. Essential to developing our new location was finding a way to co-create the space with our community. This art project was the perfect vehicle to do just that.
Our town, this land, our water, belongs to us as well as to creatures who depend on our protective efforts for future habitat and enjoyment. Sol Bean’s community partner is the Middleton Stream Team who provided many of the photos and research data for this mural. Illustrated in their element are two town leaders, Sandy Rubchinuk and Pike Messenger, who have been instrumental in educating and preserving our landscape for numerous decades. The Stream Team volunteer efforts ensure us access to the Ipswich River at 4 landing points throughout town. Take some time to boat and hike the splendor of our waterways and surround.
We hope that our community will benefit from this Middleton Art-scape for years to come. Please try to discover “la ranita de la suerte” a lucky frog hidden in one of the painted scenes. Mimicking the Spanish tradition, if you find the frog without any assistance, you will pass all of your exams and have good luck all year!
The compositional idea and artistic images for this mural were explored, developed and sketched by Deb Fedele Folsom, life-long artist, art teacher and owner of Art’s Cool. Twenty talented Art’s Cool students, ages 9-18, guided by “Miss Deb,” spent six months studying and painting the beauty and landmarks of Middleton. Sol Bean thanks the following artists, and especially their talented teacher, for the establishment of this community centerpiece.
